Jeffrey Leighton Klotzbach, 38, LaHarpe, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013.
Jeff was born Nov. 29, 1974, in Chanute, the son of William Leighton and Marcia Gail (Tinkler) Klotzbach. He grew up in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1993. He attended Allen County Community College and Pittsburg State University, later graduating from the Welding Institute of Nevada, Mo.
Jeff married Brandy Houdashelt and they made their home in Chanute where they had a beautiful daughter, Kyra Lee. They later divorced.
On March 27, 2006, Jeff married Angela Kinzle and they made their home in LaHarpe, where they resided along with Angela’s son and Jeff’s step-son Cody McCullough, who he was very proud of.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing drums. He was a spiritual man who loved the Lord with all his heart. He lent a hand wherever he could and offered prayer and friendship to all walks of life. He didn’t know a stranger. Jeff was a member of A.A. and N.A.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Klotzbach; his beloved daughter, Kyra Lee Klotzbach, Spokane, Wash.; two step-children, Jessica Musgraves, Iola, and Cody McCullough of the home; his parents, Bill and Marcia Klotzbach, Humboldt; one sister, Amy Ehmke and husband Jim, Chanute; along with his nephew, Nolan, and step-nieces Micah and Danna; his grandmother Anna M. Tinkler, Chanute; and four step-grandchildren. He also is survived by many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Wayne and Jane Klotzbach, and his maternal grandfather, Bernard Tinkler.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Covenant of Faith Christian Center, 407 N. Chestnut, Iola.
Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), where Jeff volunteered his time caring for the animals that he dearly loved.
