Jeffrey D. Copley, 50, Colorado Springs, Colo., died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. He battled kidney cancer for three months.
He was born Aug. 21, 1961, in Sacramento, Calif. He worked 18 years for Pepsi and served in the U.S. Air Force, earning his honorable discharge in 1986.
He enjoyed all of God’s creation, especially the mountains, night sky and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Copley; his parents, Donald and Dodie Copley, Humboldt, and his mother, Glenna McGee Copley, Lebanon, Ore.; his sister, Wendy Huston, Lebanon; two brothers, Braxton, Topeka, and Lawson, Dallas, Texas; three nieces; seven nephews and two great-nephews; a goddaughter, Brooke Gruber, Jacksonville, N.C.; his loyal dog Buddy; and several friends.
Funeral services were at Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel in Colorado Springs. Pastor Bob Guevara officiated.
Memorial contributions in Copley’s name may be sent to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt.
