James Arthur Summervill, 71, of Humboldt died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
James was born on Jan. 13, 1941, in Humboldt, the son of James Walter and Florence (Ward) Summervill. He graduated from Humboldt High School.
James retired from the City of Humboldt. He enjoyed farming, working with cattle and hunting, when he was able.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Sue Baker on March 20, 1965, at the First Christian Church in Humboldt. She survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randy and his wife, Andrea, Cummings, Ga., and Craig and his girlfriend, Lilly Keen, Humboldt; and two brothers, Merle Summervill, Alvin, Texas, and Glen and his wife, Lee, Wichita.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Harold and Arnold Summervill, and a sister, Natalie Billups.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
