James E. Anderson, 75, Carrollton, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016. He was born March 31, 1941, in Humboldt, to Thomas and Bessie (Taylor) Anderson. Prior to moving to Texas, James was an avid educator with the Kansas City School District. He was an avid golfer and loved to sing with the male chorus of the Shiloh M.B.C. in Kansas City.
He is survived by his son, J.D. Michaels and wife Zoe, Brooklyn, N.Y.; granddaughter, Hera Michaels; sisters, Betty Mae Anderson, Kansas City, Kan., and Dona Lee Peterson, Carrollton; brother, John “Sonny” Anderson, Shawnee Mission; special niece and caretaker, Geneva Peterson, Carrollton; nieces and nephews, Ethel Gadison, Martha Knight, Jondra Anderson, Mai David, Joi Harris, Mia Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Carla Mingo, Nikia Anderson, Randal Peterson, David Peterson, Wayne Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Brett Anderson, Bryce Anderson, Blaine Anderson and Everett Walsh, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Bessie Anderson; sisters, Janette Walsh and Marilyn Anderson; brothers, Lawrence Anderson and Thomas Anderson, Jr.; and nephew, Bryan Anderson.
