Irene Cox, 80, Andover, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017.
Irene was born in Lone Elm. She married William E. “Bill” Cox in February 1955, choosing a vocation as wife and mother.
She is preceded in death by Bill, her beloved husband, and brothers Marvin, Mike and Vic Dozier.
She leaves three children, Paula (Cox) Bolton and husband Roger, Wichita, Randy Cox and wife Bobbi, Eureka Springs, Ark., and Terri (Cox) Faure and husband Shawn, Allen, Texas. Irene also leaves eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Northside Church of Christ, 4545 N. Meridian Ave., Wichita. She will be laid to rest at 3 p.m. at the Elsmore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in her memory to the “Know Your Bible” Northside Church of Christ, 4545 N. Meridian Ave, Wichita, KS 67204.
