Helen Barbara Setter, 98, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in South Bend, Ind.
She was born Aug. 17, 1912, in Owl Creek in Woodson County, to Richard C. Wagner (1874-1960) and Susan A. Walter (1876-1955).
On Jan 13, 1932, she married Henry Louis Setter in Owl Creek. He died in 1988.
Helen, her husband, Henry, and son, Richard, owned Setter’s Pizza for many years before they retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church.
Surviving are her son, Henry, Largo, Fla.; two grandchildren, Brian Setter, Largo, and Diane Setter Trumbull and her husband, Steve, Bradenton, Fla.; a great-grandchild; and her close friend of more than 50 years, Roberta Lentz, South Bend; and many relatives in Allen, Anderson and Woodson Counties.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters, a son, Richard, and daughter-in-law, Sally Payton Setter.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday in Our Lady of Hungary Church in South Bend. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. on Monday at Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave., South Bend. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
