Helen Marie Murrow, 94, Blue Mound, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at the Fort Scott Manor. She was born Jan. 21, 1924, the daughter of Fredrick and Ethel Shaler Dunnington.
She married Vernon Murrow on Aug. 29, 1945, in Iola. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Leon Murrow, in 2007, and three sisters, Anna Twamley, Verna Caldwell and Ruby Earnest. She is survived by a son, William Murrow, a daughter, Donna Casner, 10 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
A public visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
A private family funeral service will be held. Burial will be in the Boulware Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Fort Scott Manor.
