Helen Ann (Scheikofsky) Williams Bennett, 75, passed away on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at Overland Park Medical Center in Overland Park. Helen was born on June 18, 1940, in Marion, the daughter of James Ernest and Katharine Elizabeth (Deines) Scheikofsky.
Helen graduated from Emporia High School in 1958. In 1984, she married Gerry Bennett in Reno, Nev.
Helen worked as a clerk typist for the State of Kansas. Helen’s passion was playing shuffleboard and she was very competitive. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Three Rivers Pool League.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her husband, Gerry; son, Brian Williams and partner Matthew Walter, Prairie Village; step son, Ray Gene Bennett, Derby; step daughter, LaWanda Bennett, Wichita; brother, Eugene James Scheikofsky and wife Imogene, Wichita.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Countryside Funeral Home-Humboldt Chapel, 908 Central, Humboldt. Interment will be at 2 p.m., Friday, in Matfield Green Cemetery in Matfield Green.
