Gregory L. Setter, 64, Humboldt, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Tri-County Hospital in Vista, Calif.
Greg was born Feb. 25, 1950, in Iola the son of Ambrose James and Katherine Davis (Knox) Setter. He grew up in the Los Angeles area and served in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Humboldt in 1990 and has worked at Moon’s Market, Walmart in Chanute and Johnson’s General Store in Humboldt.
He is survived by seven brothers: James Setter, Henderson, NV, Phil Setter, Vista, Calif., Bernard Setter, Iola, John Setter, Escondido, Calif., Bruce Setter, Cuba, Mo., Charles Setter, El Cajon, Calif., and Stephen Setter, Iola; a special niece, Laura Onnen and husband, Dan, Humboldt, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will hold graveside services at 3:30 p.m., Saturday at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. There will be a family gathering on Sunday at the North Community Building in Iola from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for friends to stop by and visit.
