Glenna Dean Gurley Wilson, 73, died Friday, May 2, 2014, in Florida.
She was born June 17, 1940, in Tulsa, Okla., to the late Rev. Glenn Albert and Esther M. Sheppard Gurley.
On May 6, 1959, she married Larry Wayne Wilson in Sparks, Nev. They lived in many different states throughout their life together.
Preceding in death are a brother, sister and two infant daughters.
She enjoyed traveling, camping and crafts and being with family. She was a member of Grace Southern Baptist Church in Iola where she taught many children through Sunday Schools, daycare and the Iola Area Community Christian School.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Larry; children, Bill Wilson (Melanie), Larry Wilson, Jr. (Reina), both of Iola; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne Litchfield, Alice Jean Johnson, both of California, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Florida National Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Perry officiating. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, Fla.
