Glenda Laver, “Pug,” 64, Moran, died at her home Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
Glenda was born May 29, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan., to Ezra and Mary Phillips.
She was united in marriage to Gene Laver on Jan. 26, 1991. She is survived by five children, Eddie Goodman, Richard Goodman, Ron Goodman, Karla Boots and Brian Laver; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Ezra, mother Mary and sister Barbara. She is survived by five siblings, Fayetta Phillips, William Phillips and his wife, Darlene, Marla Phillips, Mike Phillips and his wife, Suzy,and Jim Phillips and his wife, Diane.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola. Funeral services follow at 2 o’clock, with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery east of Humboldt.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas and may be left with the funeral home.
