George Edward Abbott, age 86, of Forney, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. George was born on May 14, 1938, in Iola, Kansas, to Robert Earl Abbott and Dorothy Maxine (Melton) Abbott.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to noon, at First Christian Church, 1608 Oregon Rd., Iola. Following the memorial, the family will provide lunch at noon at the church.
