Gail Theresa King, age 66, passed away Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at Parsons State Hospital.
Gail was born Sept. 27, 1953, to Leo G. King and Doris (Womack) Jackman. Gail spent the majority of her life in Kansas State Hospitals. She was known for being a very joyful person. She loved to share her smile and her hugs with others.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Leo G. King and Doris (Womack) Jackman; stepparents, Beulah (James) King and Marvin Dale Jackman II.
Gail is survived by one sister, Veronica (Gary) May of Windermere, Fla.; six brothers, Stephen (Monika) King of Atchison, Greg (Donna) King of Madison, Ala., Jeff (Marie) King of Lincoln, Neb., Chris (Rhonda) King of Moran, Marvin (Linda) Jackman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Michael (Tina) King of Raymondville, Mo.
Services for Gail will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola. Cremation will take place after the services have been conducted. Burial will be held privately at a later date at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Gas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Gail are suggested to Parsons State Hospital Endowment Association and can be left with the funeral home.
