Gail Leon Beggs, 63, Chanute, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at his home in Stark.
Gail was born on Dec. 18, 1951, in Chanute, the son of Louis Alden and Oralee (Collins) Beggs.
Gail attended college at Emporia State and Pittsburg State. He was the owner of the Hi-Fi House electronics store before retiring in the late 1980s. He enjoyed working with and listening to the latest in high quality sound equipment and was often the first to offer the latest equipment in his store.
Gail was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved being outdoors playing ball or waterskiing. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially football, on television.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Dwayne Beggs, Lafayette, La.; his mother, Oralee Beggs, Stark; a brother, Randall Beggs, Stark; a sister, Becky Orr, Owasso, Okla.; and grandchildren, Andrew David Beggs, St. Clair, Mo., and Geoffery David Ledford, Neosho, Mo.
Gail was preceded in death by his father, Louis.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Stark United Methodist Church. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Savonburg.
