Florence Irene Adams, 90, of Humboldt died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Arrowood Lane Residential Care Facility.
She was born on March 25, 1921, in Humboldt, to John Edward and Anna Kathryn (Rath) Saving. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1939.
She was married to Robert Dean Adams in April 1942 in San Luis Obispo, Calif. He preceded her in death in April 1992.
She owned and operated Florence’s Beauty Shop for 50 years before retiring.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt, was a Guild member and enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Barry Lee and his wife, Sue, Chanute, and Robert Craig and his wife, Madlyn, Olathe; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.
