Dr. David Lynn Rush, 56, passed away suddenly Dec. 21, 2017, at his home in Gilbert, Ariz.
David was born April 21, 1961, in Iola, the son of Myron and Betty (Young) Rush.
He graduated in 1979, the 100th class of Iola High School. Dave was active in sports and other school activities.
On April 6, 1981, he married Michelle Snowden at the Salt Lake Temple, Utah. They were blessed with four boys and two girls.
In 1984, he graduated from BYU with a degree in microbiology. He was accepted into the dental school at UMKC and graduated in 1988. The family moved to the Phoenix area, where he opened his first dental office. Dr. Kyle Rush, his son, was practicing with his dad. Another son, Dr. Cory Rush, will soon join the practice.
David loved his family, church family and helping his patients have a better smile. He enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts and was proud of his four Eagle Scout sons. He loved traveling to watch Kristi run in track meets for BYU, watching Cassidi with her biology projects and giving love and advice to all in his family.
He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle; parents Myron and Betty; sons Kyle (Caitlin), Cory (Laura), Carson (Andrea) and Cody; daughters Cassidi (fiance Michael Sitzmann) and Kristi (Mitchell) Briggs; brothers Rick (Barbara), Iola, and Phil (Janine), Kansas City; sister, Brenda Leonard, Iola; and his four grandchildren, Kaley, Haven, Blake and Lila.
Interment is at SanTan Memorial Gardens, Queen Creek, Ariz.
