Douglas Eugene Roberts, age 75, of Richmond, died on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1943, to Herbert Joseph and Nancy Pauline (Nelson) Roberts at Kansas City, Mo. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He married Joyce Ewert on July 25, 1962, in Iola.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Roberts; and other relatives.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Roberts, of the home; daughter, Thresea Smith of Garnett; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus Scipio Council No. 2680 and left in care of the funeral home.
