Dorothy Ann Sallee, 79, formerly of LaHarpe, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Pittsburg.
Dorothy was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Hepler, the daughter of Albert L. and Easter Lily (Hutton) Brown. She grew up in LaHarpe most of her life and was a graduate of LaHarpe High School.
On July 21, 1952, Dorothy married Gerald Dean Sallee and they made their home in the LaHarpe area. He preceded her in death June 11, 1995.
Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed baking, cleaning house and listening to Elvis Presley.
Survivors are her three sons, Terry Dean Sallee and wife, Hellen, Weir, Rick Sallee and wife, Cherry, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Michael Sallee, Lawrence,; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Donald and Gary Brown.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
Burial will be at LaHarpe Cemetery in LaHarpe.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola.
