Dorotha Ann “Dottie” Lee, 75, Salina, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Salina Regional Health Center.
Dorotha was born in Iola on May 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Crystal Maxine (Jensen) and Franklin Glen West. She was the widow of Boyd E. Lee.
Dottie worked as a small business owner; who owned and operated Bachelors Inn and Boondocks Tavern in Salina. She most recently retired from Crane Rental. She was a member of the American Legion, Salina Women’s Bowling Association, and Salina Women’s Pool League
Survivors include two daughters, Denise Russell and husband Dennis, Salina, and DeEtta Petty, Salina; five sons, Dale Petty and wife Mona, Harrison, Ark., Doug Petty and wife Deena, New Cambria, Mo., David Petty and wife Ronda, Kinsley, Donald Petty and wife Jonetta, Salina, and Duane Petty and wife Bobbi, St. George; sister, Reita Jordan and husband, Scott, Albuquerque, N.M.; three sisters-in-law, Sandy Moss, Manhattan, Evelyn Ellis, Chanute, and June Dwyer, Tulsa; brother-in-law, Bill Lee and wife Donna, Hollister, Mo.; brother-in-law, Bud Lee and wife Daphene, Salina; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Lee, and brother, Lewis West.
A memorial service will be this afternoon at 3 o’clock at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home in Salina, the Rev. Loran Forbes officiating. Inurnment will be at St. George Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dottie’s name to Tammy Walker Cancer Center or American Legion Post 62 in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
