Donald Henkle, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014. A gathering for friends and family will be at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 2, at the Maize Community Building in Maize. Don was born in Southeast Kansas to Walter Henkle and Maude (Pickering) Henkle. He was a retired salesman for an electrical wholesale company in Wichita. Don had many hobbies and passions including archaeology, genealogy, and gardening and was a member of the Woodson County Historical Society. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne, and sister, Pearl.
Survivors are his wife, Wanda; daughters, Marlene and Mindy (Jack); grandchildren, Annie, Jacque and Kristen; great-grandson, Michael, all of Wichita, and brother, Oliver, Iola.
