Dixie Lee (Shultz) Vincent, 73, Chanute, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Dixie was born on April 9, 1943 in Chanute, the daughter of George and Clara (Ogden) Shultz.
In 1962 she married John Vincent. John preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1999.
Dixie retired from Kustom Signals in Chanute, where she worked as a laborer. She loved spending time with her family. She loved to cook and always made Sunday dinners for her family. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, bowling tourneys and playing cards or marbles with her sisters.
Dixie is survived by her children, Rita Sanchez and husband Jimmy, Humboldt, Roger Vincent, Humboldt, and Tammy Johnson and husband Mike, Humble, Texas; her sisters, Margaret Cox, Barb Bancraft, Shirley Smith and Martha Brown; her brother, Dale Shultz; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; husband John, and brother Gene Shultz.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Countryside Funeral Home, Johnson Chapel in Chanute. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
