David Jerdee

David Dwight Jerdee, 64, of Humboldt, passed away at his home on Feb. 8, 2018.

He was born March 28, 1953, in Milwaukee to Leo Myron & Lorraine Marion (Erdmann) Jerdee. He graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee in June 1970. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in August 1977. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in educational psychology with an emphasis on gifted and talented and creative from University of Wisconsin-Madison in August 1983.

David touched the lives of many students while he worked for the Humboldt based ANW Special Education Cooperative from September 6, 1983 until his retirement on July 1, 2012. (ANW serves 8 school districts in Allen, Anderson, Neosho, Wood-son and Wilson counties.) David was nominated by his students and listed in the 1998 edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Leo Jerdee. He is survived by many second cousins in Wisconsin and Illinois, a lifetime of friends and students, and his favorite online gaming partner, Kalan Wright.

A private graveside service will be held at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Milwaukee where David will be laid to rest next to his parents and brother.
