D. Dale Vink, 67, Iola, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Allen County Regional Hospital.
Dale was born March 12, 1948, in Luverne, Minn., the son of Delmar and Lucretia (DeBoer) Vink. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge he made his home in Iola. In 1969, Dale married Alice Munsen and they later divorced. He worked for Haldex in Iola for 27 years. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and attending his grandson’s games.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Vink and wife Therese, Iola, and Scott Vink and wife Michelle, Ottawa; three siblings, James and Arnold Vink, both of Luverne, and Joanne Campbell, Moline, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Isaac and Davis Vink, Axavier, Zetan and Maria Vink. His brother, Gary Vink, preceded him in death.
Cremation has taken place. The family will host a memorial service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at RiverTree Christian Church in Iola. Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola assisted the family. To leave a condolence, go to www.iolafuneral.com.
