Clifford L. Heisler, 82, of Humboldt died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at his home.
He was born April 3, 1928, in Pawnee, Okla., the son of Henry John and Minnie Elizabeth (Myers) Heisler. He grew up in Pawnee until the family moved to a farm west of Elsmore in 1944.
On April 10, 1951, he married Irene Martin in Perry, Okla. They made their home west of Chanute for a few years before moving to a farm northwest of Elsmore. In 2001, they moved to Humboldt.
He is survived by his wife of the home; four children, Shirley Peck and her husband, Jeff, Forest City, Iowa, Max and his wife, Beverly, Zenda, Beth Queen and her husband, Rick, Wichita, and Ken and his wife, Laura, Humboldt; a sister, Alice Sundquist and her husband, Eric, Independence; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A great-granddaughter, Kohlie Crawford, two brothers, Donald and Harold, a sister, Dorotha Turner, and a nephew, Darrell Turner, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels in Iola.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Iola Recreation Community Building in Riverside Park in Iola. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
