Cletus J. Neville, 88, rural Neosho Falls, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola.
Cletus was born Dec. 15, 1926, in Wichita, the son of Edward and Ella (Jansen) Neville. He was a lifelong farmer starting out on the family farm west of Wichita.
On May 26, 1948, Cletus married Patricia Ann Mies at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aleppo. They made their home on a farm west of Wichita until 1968 when they moved to a farm east of Neosho Falls. He and Patricia were married 62 years when she preceded him in death June 20, 2010.
He was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Piqua.
He is survived by his five children, Charles Neville and wife Nancy, White Lake, Mich., Ruth Cushman, Millington, Tenn., Sharon Denchfield and husband Charles, Richland, Wash., Mark Neville, Neosho Falls, and Becky Davis and husband Mike, Checotah, Okla.; one sister, Mary Stapleton, Hartford, Wisc.; 10 grandsons, four granddaughters; 15 great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Mary Lea Riedel, four brothers and four sisters.
The parish rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday, followed by the celebration of the Mass at 10:30, both at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola. Burial will follow at St. Martin’s Cemetery, Piqua.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Chapel in Iola.
