Clara Lee “Ted” Francis, 85, Aliceville, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha.
She was born June 6, 1925, in Garnett, the daughter of John and Bonnie (Kennie) Corwin. She grew up in the Garnett and Welda areas.
On Oct. 31, 1941, she married James W. “Jim” Francis in Iola. They made their home in the Colony, Welda and Geneva areas. They retired from farming and moved to Westphalia. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1990. She then moved to Aliceville.
She is survived by four sons, John, Daniel and Gene, all of Aliceville, and Harvey, Le Roy; three sisters, Bonnie Fry, Orville, Wash., Rosemary Ragsdale, Neosho Falls, and Alydia Stratton, Colony; 19 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, “Bud” Corwin and a sister, Eunice Mott.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Westphalia Cemetery.
