Charles W. “Chuck” Wilson, 47, rural Kincaid, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at his home.
Chuck was born April 16, 1965, in Wichita. He grew up in Pittsburg, where he graduated from high school and attended Pittsburg State University.
On Feb. 15, 1992 Chuck married Amy S. Smith at Moran. They made their home in Elsmore before moving to their home west of Mildred. Chuck worked as a machinist for Klein Tool in Moran until it closed, and then for Haldex in Iola until it closed.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
His wife survives, as do two sons, Payton and Trevor, Iola; his mother, Linda Riffel, Greenwood, La.; two sisters, Wendy Haynes, Greenwood, La., and Ida Swift, Farlington.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Charles and Edna Wilson, and his stepfather, Garry Riffel.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
Inurnment will be at Moran Cemetery, Moran, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Charles W. Wilson Memorial Fund for his sons’ educations and left at the chapel.
