Cheryl Ann “Cherie” Navin Schleeter, 71, of Marysville, Ohio, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at her home.  A 1961 graduate of Marysville High School and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Marysville, she was an associate of McAuliffe’s Ace Hardware and a former associate of BMY. While a resident of Costa Mesa, Calif., she worked for Hughes Aircraft and was a phone operator for Newporter Inn in Newport Beach.  She was also a construction secretary for Fuller Company during construction of University of California Irvine Medical Center.  She and her former husband, Loren D. Railsback, owned and operated their “Coast to Coast” hardware store in Iola.
She enjoyed camping with the love of her life, Bill Schleeter. She also liked crossword puzzles, needlework and cross stitch. She will be remembered as “never knowing a stranger” and was outgoing, conversationalist, handy and capable.
She was born Oct. 5, 1943 in Marion and was preceded in death by her father, Thomas William Navin; two sisters, Mary Kay Navin and Jo Lynn Navin Shearer, her second husband William “Billy” Schleeter, Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Pam Dodd Railsback.
She is survived by her mother, Imo Cates Navin, Marysville; two sons, Dirk (Margaret “Meg”) Railsback, Marysville and Rex (Tina) Railsback, Lawrence; her grandchildren Meghan Railsback, Brittney Railsback and Joel Railsback; two brothers, Conrad “Connie” (Sandra) Navin of Wake Forest, N.C. and Dan (Carol) Navin, Marysville; nieces and nephews, Whitney (Lee) Dawson, Will (Noelle) Shearer, Stacey Halpin, Brad (Rhiannon) Navin, Cynthia (Timothy) Ambrose, Chad Navin, Andrea Navin, Bill (Beth) Navin; special friends, Dave (Vicki) Ducharme and many other relatives, including Andrea (Russell) White, Katie (Justin) Crocco and Regina Dodd.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 24 at Underwood Funeral Home. Rev. John M.
