Memorial services for Carl Joe Beagley of Humboldt, whose death on Sunday was reported in Tuesday’s Register, have been changed from Dec. 31 to 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Seventh and Osage streets, in Humboldt.
He was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Edith, Okla., to Jerry Edward and Grace Lillian (Davidson) Beagley. He was raised in Lookout, Okla., and graduated from Freedom, Okla., High School.
On July 20, 1948, he married Charlene Dorris in Alva, Okla. They moved to Humboldt in 1951.
He was co-owner of Sinclair Gas Station and Full of Pep Feed Store in Humboldt. He also drove the propane truck for the Humboldt Co-op and retired from Humboldt Elementary School as a custodian in 1991 after 17 years of service.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Humboldt.
Along with his wife he is survived by his sons, Mickey and his wife, Charlene, Humboldt, and Norman, Kansas City; granddaughters, Michele Meins and her husband, Billy, and Lorelei Goforth and her husband, Joseph, Humboldt; grandsons, Clint Beagley and his wife, Niccole, and Nickolas Beagley, Humboldt; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Dixie Clemens, Waynoka, Okla.; two brothers, Bill, Ozark, Mo., and Jim, Custer City, Okla.; his cat, Tom; and many nieces and nephews.
His brothers, Lloyd and Alfred, and sisters, Vera Schultz, Laura Bliss and Nola Storrer, died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
