Bob Evans, 79, Cheyenne Wyo., died on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Bob was born to Thelma and Victor Evans in Topeka, on Jan. 12, l936. He grew up and attended schools in Iola, graduated from Phillips University in Enid, Okla., in l959 with a geology degree.
Bob and Alice met at college and married on Aug. 24, l957. He spent two years in the Army with one in Korea. He worked as a stocker, assistant manager, and manager for Safeway Stores, for 37 years in Cheyenne, Newcastle, and Rawlins. He retired in l997 and enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking and gardening. His favorite fishing holes were Seminole Lake and the Kenai River. He was active in the First Christian Church and cooked for the Comea Center once a month.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughters, Vicki Jo Siter, Soldotna, Ala., and Alisa Elaine Casey, Park City, Utah; sister, Marilyn Harclerode, Northglenn, Colo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was Monday at First Christian Church.
