Betty Stark, 88, Wagoner, Okla., passed this life Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Wagoner Community Hospital in Wagoner. 
Betty was born March 5, 1927, in Wellington. Her parents were Elmer G. Lee and Minnie Ann (Warden) Lee.  She grew up in Kansas, living in Wichita, Thayer and Iola. After her high school graduation, Betty went to Baker University and received her bachelor’s degree. In later years she became a respiratory therapist.  
Betty married Marion “Harold” Stark in March 1950. Betty and her husband moved to Fontana, where they lived on a farm for a few years. They later moved to Selmar, Calif., where she began working in the medical field. In the mid 1970s Betty moved to Wagoner for a position at the Wagoner Community Hospital, where she began working as a respiratory therapist. She provided a service needed by many for over 25 years until she retired.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, George W. Lee, and her husband, M. Harold Stark.  Her survivors include a niece, Janice Daniel, of Olathe, a nephew, Vernon Lee, of Iola and other family members and friends. 
A visitation will be at Shipman Funeral Home in Wagoner, Okla., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery in Iola with the Rev. Trudy Anderson officiating. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105. 
Services are under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory in Wagoner.
