Beatrice M. (Freeman) Shaffer, 82, of Yates Center died Monday, June 28, 2010, in Yates Center.
She was born Jan. 23, 1928, to Eli and Estella Freeman in Le Roy.
On Dec. 11, 1945, she married Leonard “Pete” Shaffer. He died in September 1992.
She is survived by her children, Ron and his wife Suzie, De Soto, Bea Cline and her husband Ted, Butte, Mont., Troy A., Jerry and his wife Jeanie, Marla Newman and her husband Don, and Kelly L. Shaffer, Yates Center, and Marsha Barney and her husband Don, Toronto; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Freeman and his wife Helen, and Richard Freeman and his wife Sue, Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
