Robert Earl “Bubba” Roush, born June 12, 1943, in Iola, passed away peacefully with family at his side on May 1, 2016, in Tacoma, Wash., of interstitial lung disease.
Robert had lived the past 31 years in Spanaway and Lakewood, Wa. He served as a Staff Sergeant in Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked as a pipefitter in the shipbuilding industry.
He was a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He was always telling jokes and making people laugh. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was well loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharla Rae; parents, Bill and Edith Roush, and brother, David.
He is survived by his daughters Denise Flis (Joe), Tacoma, Wa., Lorrie Roush, Graham, Wa.; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and siblings Edna Pruitt (Joe), Tacoma, Elmer (Mable), Chanute, Danny (Ruby), Gas, George (Sharon), Iola, Carl (Pam) Gas, Susan Harrison (Jess), Iola, Karen Roush, Drexel, Mo., Billy (Venita), LaHarpe, plus many nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a memorial for Robert and wife Sharla at a later date with their ashes buried together.
