A number of activities are in store for those seeking to bring in the new year.
The Iola American Legion Post No. 15, 712 W. Patterson Ave., will host a New Year’s Eve Dance starting at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $10 per person, with music provided courtesy of Darrin Mitchell and Prairie Chicken Band. A breakfast will follow the dance at midnight. The event is open to the public. Attendees need not be a Legion member..
Scooters, 118 W. Jackson Ave., will celebrate the new year with a dance to the music of Funk Tank.
Admission is $10 per person at the door. Advance tickets will sell for $8 apiece.
For those in a bowling mood, Iola’s Country Lanes, 2001 N. State St., will host a New Year’s Eve bash starting at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $18 per person.
