Substantial vandalism was done to the interior of Crossroads Alternative School in Gas this week.
USD 257 custodians found the damage, which included crude words and symbols spray-painted on walls, blackboards and tables, when they went to the school Wednesday. A vending machine was also broken into.
Custodians were last at the school Monday, which means damage probably occurred late Monday or Tuesday nights, said Sheriff Tom Williams.
“We followed up on a huge number of leads yesterday and have some ideas about suspects,” he said, encouraging anyone with information that might be helpful to call Allen County Crime Stoppers, 365-4949, or the sheriff’s office, 365-1400.
