Are you ready to rock?
The Fifth Annual Traumafest returns to the Time Out Tavern with a free concert on Saturday.
Nine bands will take the stage, along with a guest speaker who will talk about health and fitness. DeVaughn “Mr. Pulley Fitness” Amann is a bodybuilder, fitness model and personal trainer who will give a motivational speech.
The event begins at 2 p.m. and is scheduled through midnight. You must be 21 to enter.
Organizer Wayne Allison with Traumasphere Entertainment said the goal of the event is to provide free live music, create memories, make new friends and stimulate positive mental health.
“Our event has grown over the years with the support of the community,” Allison said.
“It is my belief and scientifically proven that music stimulates memories and creates moments in life that people can cherish. Those memories can help save people’s lives by improving mental health.”
Bands scheduled to perform are Bred4War, 9 Left Dead, Bullet to the Heart, Flashpoint, Ghost in the Atlantic, Rage is My Rival, From Ashes, Why Bother and Project Revolution.
Area businesses are sponsoring the event.
