Lincoln Elementary School third-graders partook in a field trip to Iolas John Brown Cave, one of the newest features of the Lehigh Portland Trails complex on the south edge of town. At right, guide Don Burns visits with the students at the caves east entrance. The field trip was a painful one for teachers aide Penny Herder, who suffered a leg injury after falling near the caves west entrance. Herder had to be escorted from the trail to receive medical treatment.
