Thrift store seeks volunteers

The Senior Citizen Rummage Sales thrift store is seeking volunteers age 55 and older.

All donations to the store come from the surrounding community and all money raised is returned to the community. Some of the organizations that receive money include Adopt-A-Child, Crossroads, elementary schools, oncology department, various cancer groups, Humanity House gardens and more.

Donations can be used as a tax deduction. Volunteer staff can assign an estimated monetary value to the donation and provide information to use for taxes. The thrift store is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization.

The thrift store is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Donations are accepted at any time with two drop-off boxes at the store at 223 N. Main St.
