CHANUTE — A suspect was taken into custody Friday in relation to a social media post that threatened Chanute High School and resulted in a school lockdown, according to The Chanute Tribune.
According to the Chanute Police Department, the individual in custody is alleged to have posted the threats on SnapChat.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, Allen County Sheriff’s Office and USD 413 administrators also responded to the threat.
