A pickup stolen from Iolan Ronnie Helman in May has been recovered.

Vinita, Okla., police officers arrested two Iolans Monday in connection with the missing truck.

They were spotted driving without headlights and with plates stolen from another truck, Helman said.

The 1992 Chevy pickup was reported stolen from Helman’s residence in Iola May 5.

Bob Droessler of the Iola Police Department said the occupants, Grover Froggate, 20, and Italy Loving, 20, are being held in Vinita until formal charges are filed.

Information from the case has been forwarded to Allen County Attorney Wade Bowie, who will decide what charges to file.

According to Droessler, the original tags from the pickup were recovered by Webb City, Mo., police May 17.

“We’re still compiling information on the case,” Droessler said.

Helman said the truck sustained damage to its fenders and doors, front bumper, and ignitio.

In addition, a tool box filled with $600 worth of tools is missing, as are a $400 pair of eyeglasses.
