WILSON COUNTY — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation after human remains were found Thursday evening in rural Wilson County.
The skeletal remains were found in a pasture about a mile south of Coyville, the Wilson County Citizen reported.
An autopsy is scheduled. The person has not been identified.
Due to the condition of the remains, positive identification is expected to take longer than most cases, the newspaper reported.
