A special meeting to discuss the position of city administrator will be at 6 o’clock Monday night in Iola City Hall commission chambers.
Iola commissioners had extended the contract of Judy Brigham, current city administrator, through March 31.
The new city council will not be seated until April 18, committing the city to at least a two-week leadership void.
Brigham had asked that her contract be extended until at least Sept. 19, when she would be fully eligible to receive city and state retirement benefits. Brigham had said she would retire at that time.
