The 2019 election is six days away, but Bryan Murphy has his eye on 2020.
Murphy, ending his second four-year term as Allen County sheriff, filed this week for re-election seven months ahead of the filing deadline.
I just really enjoy serving Allen Countys citizens, Murphy said. Im eager to let them know Im looking ahead to the future, and Im committed to another four years.
Murphy is in his 28th year of law enforcement, roughly 24 of which have been in Allen County. Aside from the Allen County Sheriffs Department, Murphy also has served with the Humboldt Police Department.
The filing deadline for 2020 county positions is June 1.
