HUMBOLDT — Saturday’s weather conditions weren’t lost on Pastor Robert Favors, of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.

“God knew what the weather was going to do before we did,” he told a large Biblesta crowd Saturday.

For hours that morning, it looked as if the threat of rain would dampen the enthusiasm. Sure enough, by late morning, a line of rain clouds gathered along the southern horizon.

But as the noon hour approached, the clouds began to dissipate.

A cluster of storms largely broke apart as they reached Allen County, leaving parade spectators dry as a bone.

They were treated to another spectacular show, with floats and entries dedicated to Scripture.

The afternoon was a plethora of music, words of praise, a free bean feed sponsored by the Humboldt Lions Club and a youth rally to cap the day.
