U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran will visit USD 257’s Age-to-Age Preschool at Windsor Place Nursing Home Wednesday from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
The Age-to-Age Preschool, established at Windsor place in 2010, provides a unique classroom experience where children are partnered with the seniors citizens to read, exercise and learn other life lessons.
The program, which has been viewed as a success by Iola school administrators, also helps the elderly fight against loneliness, helplessness and boredom, according to a release from Moran’s office this week.
“We’re very pleased to have Sen. Moran’s interest in our cutting-edge preschool program,” said Brian Pekarek, USD 257 superintendent.
