Iolans eager to hear some good news about the community are welcome to Friday’s first ever “See, Hear Iola” session.
The hour-long gathering starts at 10 a.m. at the New Community Building in Riverside Park.
Attendees can expect to hear city updates, newsroom tidbits, Iola Area Chamber of Commerce musings, happenings around town, housing market updates, financial news and a featured speaker to go with an emcee to keep things moving along.
Friday’s guest speaker will be Jeff Kluever, executive director of the Allen County Historical Society.
Items will be presented in a positive way, with visual aids when necessary, and with no negative comments allowed.
Free refreshments will be served.
The forum is based on a similar program in Ottawa, which takes place the first Friday of each month. Iola’s will be the last Friday of each month.
