Savonburgs Fall Festival kicks off this Saturday with a parade at 11 a.m. followed by games at the city park and a lunch of frito chili pies, hot dogs and chips.
Activities include a cake walk, fishing booth, tug-of-war, gunny sack race, candy grab and balloon toss. Tickets are 50 cents for the cake walk.
Bingo begins at 2 p.m. followed by a chili cook-off. Area residents are encouraged to submit their favorite chili entrees.
A pulled pork community dinner begins at 5 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a family-sized covered dish to contribute to the fare.
Merchant drawings will occur throughout the day.
The Fall Festival is sponsored by the Savonburg Public Library, Savonburg PRIDE and City of Savonburg.
