SAFE BASE will run a three week K-8th grade summer program in June. Parents/guardians can enroll their student(s) all three weeks of the program or any single week. There will be no cost for students to participate.
As in years past, the program will be at Lincoln Elementary, operating 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, providing students both a hot breakfast and lunch.
Thursday will be reserved for all-day field trips. The program will not operate on Fridays.
The first week begins June 7.
The three Thursday field trips are June 10, to the Brown vs. Board of Education National Park Service Museum in Topeka and the Topeka Zoo; June 17, the Grossology Exhibit at Exploration Place Museum in Wichita; and June 24, to see the performance “Lucky Duck” at the Coterie Theatre in Kansas City and then to the Deanna Rose Farmstead.
