The upcoming Iola Amateur Radio Club Field Day, set for June 23 and 24 at Gale Jefferis residence in La-Harpe, were discussed at Thursdays regular IARC meeting at Iola City Hall.
Setup will begin at 10 a.m. June 23 with members beginning to power up their radios at noon. The event begins at 1 p.m.
A potluck supper that evening will include meat and a drink. Members are asked to bring a covered dish, salad or dessert.
Field Day concludes at 1 p.m. June 24.
Members were reminded the Iola Rotary Club Paper Drive is Saturday. Jeremy Utley demonstrated UHF repeater capabilities.
Several attended the Green Country Ham-fest in Claremore, Okla., and at Ararat Shrine ARC in Kansas City, Mo.
The Big Brutus Annual Reunion is June 2 and 3.
Eleven members and two guests attended Thursdays meeting.
The next meeting is at 7 p.m. June 14 at Iola City Hall.
