LAHARPE — The Light of LaHarpe Church will once again host a community Thanksgiving Day dinner to any and all.
“We don’t want anybody to feel like nobody cares,” said Debbie Bearden, who along with husband Duwayne, will spearhead the feast.
This is the sixth year the Light of LaHarpe members will feed the community.
As in years past, the Beardens also are accepting volunteers willing to lend a hand, either with food preparation, or to help dish out the food on Thanksgiving Day.
Debbie asks anybody willing to cook to call first.
“That way we can coordinate what needs to be prepared,” she said.
Past crowds have exceeded 100. That means she’ll need at least six turkeys to feed the masses.
To volunteer, call Duwayne at 228-1829.
The dinner will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at LaHarpe City Hall.
